Repository Policy

The Journal of Neurosurgery Academy permits authors to self-archive all versions of their manuscripts without embargo, including:

  • Submitted Manuscripts (Preprints)
  • Author Accepted Manuscripts (AAMs)
  • Published Versions of Record (VoR)

Authors may deposit these versions immediately in:

  • Personal websites
  • Institutional repositories
  • Subject repositories
  • Funding body repositories
  • Academic social networking and scholarly communication platforms, where permitted by platform policies

Preprints may be posted before submission to the Journal and may remain publicly available during the peer-review process.

The Journal operates a double-anonymous peer-review process. Although publicly available preprints may make author identities discoverable, reviewers are expected not to actively seek author identities and must evaluate submissions solely on their scholarly merit.

Authors depositing Author Accepted Manuscripts or Versions of Record should include a complete citation and DOI link to the published Version of Record whenever available.
